Granite Belt run to Stanthorpe via Pratten
With a cold start in Warwick, we ventured on to Stanthrope for cheese tasting at Stanthorpe Cheese, then to Castle Glen ( a real looking castle) to taste some of their delicious liqueurs, then to the Granite Belt brewery for an awesome lunch. After checking in and relaxing for a while we headed to the RSL for dinner.
The next morning started with a cruise to Heavenly Chocolate at Wyberba for morning tea, then onto the Pyramid in Ballandean and a drive by the recently full Storm King Dam. The Stanthorpe locals met us at the Information centre for a photo shoot and then we ventured on to Allan and Kate’s BestBlock farm to see and enjoy the amazing hand made Cobb house. We got to experience Kate’s awesome and very yummy cooking and to see how Allan and Kate made their own bricks. Thanks for a great run everyone, we hope to see more members and new members in the upcoming runs.
