April Run to Bellthorpe
Members met at the new Caboolture McDonalds Carpark on Pumicestone Rd and we had our own little show 'n' shine for some passing locals.
For the first time in a long time we travelled from our meeting point to the morning tea and club meeting point all in an unbroken convoy, all 10 vehicles!! Some more locals at the park came over to take lots of photos of the Vals (which we love).
We then made our way up the twisty and challenging range from Woodford to Bellthorpe where we had lunch. Our amazing vehicles made the trip up without any issues (as usual) and the route was one to remember, a great driving experience. Thanks to Gary for all the nail biting stories of your time hauling logs down this breath-taking range in the early 60's.
We also had a birthday, our former Club President Dave!! We enjoyed the cake and celebrating the occasion.

Chryslers on the Coast 26th March - Burleigh Town Hotel
Our club members were able to meet 'n' greet other Chrysler enthusiasts from the QLD Chrysler Association and Gold Coast Tweed Chrysler Club. We got to meet 'Greenie II' who belongs to the Windle family. It was really great to see and share with others so many RV1 and SV1's together.
March Run - Beerwah, Landsborough
Club members were having flash backs of the trip over Mt Hotham in Victoria during the 9th National Reunion pre-run in November last year where it was 8 degrees and the fog was so thick we could only do 30km/h up the twisty roads. Not quite the same here but some good fog/low cloud here too.
We had a nice morning tea at Mary Cairncross park, with the low cloud and fog the views were restricted but still beautiful.
Next we were off to lunch at Kenilworth to see the chocolate factory, cheese factory, bakery and the of course the Pub for lunch. Nancy had a great win on the raffles at the pub. We then headed back to the motel to celebrate club member Paul's birthday.
Sunday we were off to the Maroochy Botanic Gardens and our club meeting. We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting. Join us and get some miles on those dials.
