North Brisbane Run October 2021

Day One - was kicked off with a lunch at the Aspley Hornets footy club and a drive up the Bruce Highway to Dohles Rocks and a look at Osprey House followed by coffee at the Rocks Cafe in Griffin. After that it was back to the Motel in Carseldine for a few quiet, refreshing ales.

Day Two - started with a trip to Boondall Wetlands within the Brisbane Entertainment Centre grounds. There was a large  pond with remote controlled boats, turtles and was alive with bird life as well. We enjoyed a morning tea and chat amongst ourselves and with a few others too. From there it was off to to the Redcliffe Peninsula for some lovely water views and of course lunch at the famous Morgans Seafood which lived up to its reputation as a premium provider of fresh and cooked seafood. After our huge lunch we rolled our way to the incredibly underrated Redcliffe Museum. It was very informative and had some great exhibits, it's well worth a look. We then traveled further South on the Peninsula to Woody Point and the Belvedere Hotel for another light refreshment, from thick-shakes to cocktails were catered for. A lovely spot to check out. There was an incident with a fire in one of the Motel rooms but no one was hurt and it didn't involve any Club Members.
Day Three - we got our beauties on the road and headed out to Bullocky Rest at South Pine Dam for morning tea and held the AGM. Not a bad spot to have a morning tea and an even nicer place to have an AGM. Once the new committee was voted in we packed up again and went to lunch at the Warner Tavern a very nice meal was enjoyed by all. Then we all said our goodbyes for the last mulit-day run of the year. It was great to have all our lovely cars out on the road, turning heads and spreading joy through nostalgia to many on-lookers. Until the XMAS party remember, they are the finest of the 3..
