Club Runs for 2019
The 1st Club Run of 2019 was to Caloundra. We visited some great local attractions as shown below.
The 2nd Club Run of 2019 was to Toowoomba. All of the travellers stayed at Motel Glenworth. The crew did a sightseeing tour of Toowoomba for 2 hours and had a lovely dinner at the City Golf Club. On Saturday we went to the Cobb and Co Museum to see the Lost Trades show. Sunday was browsing the Pepperina Art Gallery and Sister Kenny museum and lunch at Rudd's pub.
The 3rd Club Run of 2019 was to Gympie where all of the travellers stayed at the Victory Hotel/Motel. On Saturday, we visited Cooloola Berries for morning tea then had lunch at the Apollonian Hotel in Boreen Point. On Sunday, we had a fabulous journey on the Mary Valley Rattler, an old time steam train which took us to Amamoor and then back to Gympie. All of the locals were out in their backyards waving to the passengers on the train, even a local game of AFL footy stopped and the players and spectators all waved as well. It felt like a wonderful community atmosphere and is a credit to the region.
